Well Auckland really knows how to put the weather on for these trips, was fine for the whole trip up, then not long after we tee'd off, maybe after 3 holes the rain started not hard but constant for the rest of the round.

The course was good although i was hiding under my umbrella most of the time so didn't manage to take any pictures or enjoy the course quite as much as i could have on a dry day. The holes gave you a few options with laying up, blind drives being quite common.

I'm not sure how many elephants died creating some of the greens but jeez there were some slopes and mounds, good thing they weren't too quick(running around 10 foot).

The course was in pretty good condition, but was quite wet under foot and we had a few plugged balls, mind you it is the middle of winter. Some of the steps were a bit slippery as Andrew found out first hand having a slip heading up to the 8th tee which didn't help his golf.

Scoring wasn't too great with all of us shooting in the 80's. Only 2 or maybe 3 birdies all day for us.

Highlights were Munzy's shot in to the par 3 15th looking great in the air and narrowly missing the hole. and Kent's birdie on the 8th from what looked like an awful drive that caught the edge of the fairway, then a great approach to within 10 foot and and a pretty straight forward putt.

Hard to give the course a rating in the conditions, would have to go back on a dry day i think.
